What is Dedicated T1?
A T1 is a transmission line which can be divided into 24 channels,
each at 64 Kbps, then grouped by the carrier to provide users a variety of speeds at a variety of costs. Speeds range from 64kbps,
which is comparable to ISDN, to 1.5 mbps which is a faster and more reliable business class service than DSL.
A "dedicated" line allows a permanent
connection to the Internet.
